There is no true definition of what being 'scene' is because you cant put a definition on outgoingness. A scene girl is usually fun and confident; becuase of how a scene girl would dress people might think she is rude but the truth is a scene girl is usually nice to all people. Personaly I try to be nice to everyone but if someone decides to be rude I know how to handle myself. Scene girls are mostly known for their hair, the bigger the better I think. Also clip in hair extensions can help to. Feel free and go crzy with the colors in your hair to! I also like to add big colorful bows to my hair for fun aswell. As for clothes, I say go for colorful things. Skinny jeans are a must and try to find different colors or patterns. Fun tee shirts are also a must. Hello Kitty is a favorite of mine aswell as Winnie the Pooh. I also get go crazy with the jewelry, necklesses, braclets, rings, ect. I am known for the amount of bracelets and rings I wear. Music is a must, I listen to it everywhere I go, but you dont have to. For your hair your gonna need a straightener, hairspray, a comb(i find a rat tail comb works best ), some crazy colors, and cute bows or hair clips (: For your clothing, I say feel free to go wild !! express your self in anyway you feel, just make sure to add lots of colors and fun excessories (: Thats it. Just make sure to have a fun time ! well I suppose its bye for now :P

How to have an IDGAF attitude(:
Okay so first and formost, a DGAF attitude is a must for all sceneies! So here's ways to have an attitude as such:
- when someone says something you dont like look em in the eye, smile, and say "listen...ya hear that? Thats the sound of me caring" and walk away
- if someone disses your style look em up and down and say "dont hate because you dont have any" (:
- say someones hittin you up on twitter/ myspace/ facebook/ aim/ imvu/ moove/ youtube/ formspring/ buzznet/ thescenekidzgrouply/ thesceneteens and are like talking crap about you, dont overreact and instead jsut say "its okay,i dont care what you say. haters can hate all they want so go ahead and hate forever because it's just all of you haters make me famous so talk all the sh!t in the world and see if i care."
- and most important, BE TRUE TO YOURSELF! this is the most impotant step in having a DGAF attitude. it doesnt matter what anyone else says about you, its all in what you think about yourself. it doesnt matter if everyone hates you as long as you love yourself. you need to be unique and youre never wrong and youre always who your supposed to be and dont let anyone tell you different because its only what you think about yourself that matters

*What were all about*
Scene girls and boys, they don't always listen to screamo, or are rude and stuck up. We are people just like you, and we dont deserve the crap we get. We are very creativly built. We like little kid things, and vintage and prints. We like skinny jeans and bright or very dark colors, we are not the outcast. People who dont have an imagination are the outcast. Scene is people who have creative minds on hair, and design they wear and Like to express themselves differently than others. So like very tall and colorful hair, some like short and spikey, some girls like guy hair and some guys like girl hair, its doesn't matter. Yes band tee-shirts and vans or converse are very popular, and bright colored skinny jeans maybe even checkered or printed. Some people just can't be scene, they are too much the same and dont have an imagination or "dont have time too". What you may need to be all scene.(:
Vans or converse

Lots of hairspray,
Hair dye(optional) Extensions(optional)
Skinny jeans
Long necklaces
Bracelets
Ipods, mp3's
Jackets.
Band tee-shirts.
and an imagination for what you are going to wear or stly your hair like.

How to have a scene style.
If you want to be like famous scene queens Hannie Dropkick, Audrey Kitching, Brookelle Bones and so on, here are 6 easy steps to getting there.
First, you must have confidence. Having confidence is the key point to being scene. Remember, when you go out, people may stare. You must have the confidence to tell yourself that you don’t care what people think. You are beautiful!
Second, thing you will need to do is get the hair. I would recommend getting Layers in your hair for better teasing results, bangs are always a plus, and add some color! Colors like Blue and Pink are very common.
Third, BE UNIQUE! Don’t copy exactly what other girls do. Scene is about originality, and being different from others.
Fourth, clothing! Band teeshirts are very popular in the scene world. Skinny jeans are a must! There are many varieties of shoes you can wear. Flats, Vans, Converse, and high heels are very popular.
Fifth, Accessories! Oversized bows or normal sized bows are great, Kandii is also popular, Scene diamonds and Piercings! Piercings are good to have. The most popular piercings that scene queens have are the Septum piercing, snakebites or monroe. Piercings are hard to have if your parents don’t let you get them, thats why the septum is the best because you can flip the piercing up so it is out of sight.
Sixth, Makeup. Scene makeup is normally very colorful with a dark twist to it. You can go simple with just black or you can incorporate the color of your outfits with the black. Fake lashes are a plus.

*****HOW TO BE RANDOM*****
being random is when you either answer a question with an irrelevant answer e.g. "How are you" "Spotty piano" or say something totally bizarre to break the silence or when you feel like it e.g. flip flops.
You will need:
* your brain
* imagination
* the art of being random hand book (optional)- available at any shop that doesn't exist.

~How to make coon tail extensions using food coloring~
Things you'll need:
Hair weft (not to dark! Blond would be the best if you want them bright, light brown if you want them dark)
Sew on clips
Needle
Thread
Food coloring
Sharpie
Towle
Time: 45 mins tops! Maybe more is you're slow. :o and it also depends on how long you let it sit.
This is an easy and fun way for you to make coon tails quick and cheap! Lets start!
1.Sew the clips onto the weft after you've measured how long you want it to be.
2. Put the extension down on the towel
3.Pour the food coloring on the extension. Make sure it's fully covered in the coloring over wise it will look stupid
4.Let it sit as long as you want. I let mine sit for 30 mins, but that's only because I want to make sure it dyes dark.
5.Rinse the coloring out in the sink until there is barely any color in the water.
6.Blow dry it!!!
7.Put on flat surface.

~~The Definition of Being Scene.~
Well, Scene Girls are basically Very Unique, Beautiful, Caring, Fearless,Cute, version of Emo. But, They dont do all of the unnecessary depressing, Cutting,etc.,. They obviously do not know anything about being Scene or Kandi. They Try to get attention because they think they'd get more attention or may become more 'Popular.' But in reality, Realy Scene Girls\Boys don't even brag about, or even know there Scene. Well they don't notice. Because it's Natural. They don't show off Hmm.
Now, the Personality of being Scene, would be, that Most Scene arn't mean, rude, or Snobby. They're cute, and actually very careing and sweet. They comment on other's clothing, or hair Because they're just nice. Sure, theyre ya know occasionally bad. Or Misbehave. But that's just because they actually think about life and how short it is, and not to be just perfect the rest of your life. A Prep. Fake. Actually, Scene Boys and Girls are very Humerous. They are really Funny. I highly doubt one Scene person would never make you laugh or smile.
The Look of a Scene Girl/Boy. - Scene girls tend to wear mainly Colorful things. Also, They wear Band T-shirts or Dark Clothing. See, They don't wear totally Emo/Gothic Dark clothing all the time, but they don't wear Slutty Bright clothing all the time either. They also wear, Cute little clothing with Characters. Ya know as like, Girr, Domo, Adventure Time, Hello Kitty, Invader Zim, etc.,.

Me being scene
Well ever since I was like 15 I've always wanted to be scene so I was looking on the net and found this site I thought it looked cool so I signed up. But now I'm thinking to myself wow all the girls on here are really pretty and then I was thinking how can I be a scene queen I'm not even that pretty. I suffer from depression and low self esteem and self confidence but yeah I try to look pretty just to please other people cos if I dont make myself look pretty people will think there is something wrong with me.

My definition of Scene? A creative individual who likes to stand out of the crowd. Todays scene you see many teenagers who have "big" hair, wears skinny jeans, and converse. This fad has become very popular among teenagers especially. You see them walking around with crazy coloured hair, zebra print jacket, piercings, ect. Scene has become known to some as the "preppy emo", because they usually wear brighter colors rather than dark colors. Some "scene" kids rant about how their so "scene" and they are known as fakes. Real Scene people have their own individual style and dont care what other people think of them.
Want to know how to become a true genuine scene from head to toe? Follow these steps and directions below.
-Razor you hair and dont be afraid to color your hair all those crazy colors.
-After you cut and color you hair, tease it in the back and put colourful bows and clips in it.
-For makeup, eyeliner will be your best friend.
-Colors is also a must, get some crazy colourful eye shadow, and make your eyes pop.
-Outfits and clothing is essential in the scene world, wear dark washed, or even bright colored skinny jeans, and a band tee or that hello kitty shirt thats been in your closet.
-Shoes are simple, converse and vans are most common, but its acceptional to wear flats.
Make sure that its your own personal style of who you are as a person. Remember, you dont have to be as pretty as those scene models you see on google, facebook, or photobucket. To be a "true" scene queen, is to be yourself.

Most People Think Being Scene Is A "Fashion Trend" Or A "Label", But It's A LifeStyle.
Live Life The Way You Want To. Don't Worry About What Other People Think About You. Just Be Kind. People Will Criticize Because You "Dress Differently", Your Hair Might Be A Different Color Everyweek, Or You May Have Alot Of Piercings. Just Be Confident, Be You Thats All I Have To Say.(:

How to get the "scene" and "emo" look.
Step 1, get band tees. I wouldn't recommend Hot Topic and Zumiez ,considering their prices are terrible, and over-rated. I'd suggest the following:
-Stheart Clothing, or any other online clothing line
-Local shows/gigs that play
The music based stuff doesn't matter. You can listen to whatever you want. Just note, that when it says "listen to whatever you want" isn't just metal music. You can still listen to your hip-hop or rap.
To get the "scene" or "emo" look you're wanting, here are the basics:
-Liquid liner
-Mascara
-Bright colors
-Hair extensions
-Extreme hairstyles
-Glitter liner
-Skinny jeans/Colored skinny jeans
-Bracelets
-Massive necklaces
-Raccoon eye make-up
-Photo editing skills
-Teasing your hair *Note, don't over tease your hair, it's TERRIBLE for your hair, and you don't even need to tease it for the volume, when you blow dry your hair, keep your head down and blow dry upward from the roots by your neck*
-Rattail comb, good for teasing/volume
-Choppy layers
-Hello Kitty, Gloomy Bear, etc.
-Clip In Hair Extensions *Colorful&Non-Colorful*
-Hair Bows, Ribbons And Clips
-Zebra/Leopard prints
-Nail polish (black or colorful)
-Fake nails
*Note: You don't have to be rude, blunt, or stuck up. You can act just the way you are. You can dress this way if you choose, just don't change who you are as a person. If you're a nice person at heart, don't be a prick to everyone, or think highly of yourself. With that said, there's a difference between confidence in yourself, and flaunting your body around. Be respectful in what you wear, but also feel proud, feel dignified, don't feel "ugly" or "dumb" in what you wear, you're your own inspiration.

Scene Style Must:Hair Style
--------------------------------
Scene style has many different 'requirements'. Now, before you go all heywire, lets talk about one of the most important things in the Scene style and look.
HAIR!
Hello? Have you ever walked up to the miror, looked at yourself and looked at a picture of a Scene girl? If you havn't straightend, teased, dyed, bleached, clipped, or even just played around and expiremented with your hair to make it look Scene, prepare to!
Now, i'm not saying you HAVE to, but if Scene is what you are going for, hair experimentation will help and sometimes it's just plain fun. (:
So now that we know, hair is important, lets talk about different options to try out. Note, some might not fit for you but there are always other options and/or alternitives.
Cut= Now, when we get to hair cuts, we have a few ideas. Lets take a few examples of common hair cuts for scene hair and alternitives. Layers are something that are very inportant. Scene hair has alot of volume, one way to get it is with multiple layers. Starting out short on top, and working its way longer down. Also, if you have really naturally 'stick straight' hair, choppy layers will do great! Bangs are also something you see alot in Scene girls. Side sweep bangs, short bangs, layerd bangs are all examples of what Scene hair has.
BUT not everyones hair is perfect. If you have curly/wavy hair, it's best you straighten it to get the Scene look.
Short hair for Scene styles works great too. If you have short hair, straighten it and if you want (I recommend) you buy 2 long and thick clip-in blond hair extensions. This way, you can clip one on each side on the bottom of your hair and you can dye it different colors and patterns whenever you want!
Long hair can be Scene too! With some straightening and some teasing at the top, TADA! Scene hair.
Color= Scene hair tends to be colorful. So, if you want to go Scene, I recommend some outrageous color!
Hair dye can be a good option. If you are a natural blond, congrats! Easier for you. For naturally lighter hair such as blond and platnium, mostly all hair dye colors will work. Discuss with your parents/guardians about what color and wheather it should be permanent or temporary hair dye. (yes, there is a difference. not only in the color but also the ingredients used in the product)
But, unfortunatly for darker hair you might have to bleach/lighten your hair. Although, some unnatural hair dye colors work on dark hair. Depends on what product you are using. But, for more vibrant color results, lightening your hair would be better (but it is a long and sometimes painfull process). But, one color that always works on dark hair is red.
As I said, there are alternitives. Hair extensions is one of them. Wheather it's clip-in, glue-in, or even sow-in they will give you any color of your choice and not damage your hair. Plus, you can always change them from time to time. Just make sure you hide the clips for the clip-ins if you want them to look real.
Syles= Lets start with teasing. Teasing is very common in Scene hair. All you need to do is straighten your hair, get the part you want to tease, spray the roots with hairspray and tease with a thin tooth hair comb.
Also, speaking of hairspray, you might want to use some after you straighten so it doesn't get messed up.
Acsesories= How about somehting extra to top off your new hair-do? Bows are #1 on the list! Big, small, glittery, glossy, neon, plain bows are always best! Bright bandanas are also a good choice.
Well, I hope this helped!
Whatever you choose to do with your hair, just make sure you rock it!!!
Some people think makeup , hair spray , and hair dye is all it takes , they just think were another emo ? Were one of a kinds , you can't really describe us , we don't have mood swings , we just have a little bit of everything!(: Were easily mistaken emo , stuck up , rude , and everything on the list . But that doesn't get in our way . Scene is just another word for express yourself! Your hairstyle , your makeup , it's all you! Just think about it , the kind of music you listen to . We love our bright colors , zebra print , and I don't know about you but I LOVE my nerd glasses (; I love coloring , it helps me express myself , I enjoy listening to music , it always has my back (: Sometimes my tears are just words I can't say . I always try my best to keep that smile on my face , I must say were not all the same , were just ... creative! We fun to be with , we've been through most everything , we understand , trust me! One of a kind ? Of course!

***A .True . Scene ***
A true scene , is a random , confident , one of a kind . There are so many types of scene . Their style is way different from all the other's . They don't care what others say about them no matter what . The scene style is usually , hair with choppy layers & neon &black colors , they also mix & match . They put cute accessories with the outfits , for example, (a pink RAWR shirt with a bright neon green tutu & bright pink skinny jeans if needed , with vans or flats & Diamond bracelets or necklaces , gummy bear jewelry or bats or any choice they want ) . Theres an example of a scene girl . Their sometimes cute and shy but , some are outgoing and doing random things . Their hair is pretty different also they usually color it all different colors like blue , green , pink , white , purple , black & blonde . Some people see them as rude weird people but thats because people dont actually know the scene meaning or anything , they chose to see whats on the outside then on the inside . Every scene girl has a story behind their eyes . They never hold anything back , they stay true they know what is expected of them and everything else about them . Lets just say a true scene is hard to figure out with just one look .

*Definition of Scene*
You're probably thinking "What is Scene?"
Well. To some people is ugly or crazy.
But to me, its Freedom of Expression.
Being Scene is having Confidence and being able to Stand up for what you believe in. A real Scene would be themselves instead those posers who just act scene for attention. Scene is like a walking piece of art that doesn't care what other poeple thinks with Coontails, Wild Teased hair & Colorful Hair.

How to do Scene Queen Hair
What You'll Need:
Hair Bleach
Hair Dye
Hair Extensions
Hair Accessories: Ribbons, Bows, Headbands, etc.
Hair Straightener
Heat Protection Spray
Teasing Comb
What to Do:
Step 1: Figure out what kind of scene hairstyle you want to go for. Do you want the long scene hair or the short scene hair? You should choose a hairstyle that goes well with your face shape. If you have short hair but prefer the long scene hairstyle, you can buy clip-in extensions to add length.
Step 2: Once you've decided on the long or short scene hair, you need to choose a color to dye it. After you dye it you can put your own unique spin to it by putting in funky colored clip-in extensions. They're inexpensive and add color to your hair without damaging it.
Step 3: Next you need to get choppy layers cut into your hair. You can do them or you can get a professional to do them. They give you an edgy look.
Step 4: After cutting the layers, you should tease them. Take a section of your hair and comb from the top, down to the roots with a teasing comb. Apply hairspray after each section of hair you tease.
Step 4: Once you're done teasing your hair, you need to straighten it. Make sure you use a heat protecting spray or serum.
Step 5: All that's left to do is add cute accessories to your hair. Add bows, headbands, ribbons, anything. Be creative. Remember, being creative is what makes you unique.
Tips:
*Don't go and copy what somebody else has done just because you think their hair looks cool. Use their style as an inspiration to come up with your own hairstyle.
*Don't go overboard with accessories.
*It's best to get your hair layered to give it a scene look.
*You should straighten your hair but when you do, use a heat protecting serum.
*Experiment with your hair and decide what looks best on you.

being a scene kid some times you get judged by society and many people who think the style of being scene is wrong. but you always need to remember being scene is you expressing your own uniqe style and personality. your not trying to be some one your not. your the person whos uniqe and beautiful in your own special way and you dont ever let some one try to tell u to change or tell you who to be.

How I went from prep to scene.
When I first started middle school I was labeled a preppy now where I came from our prep meant happy all the time, silly, nice, friendly to everybody ,and so on.Later I thought if I was going to be a preppy why not look the part so I went online to get some fashion ideas. I searched preppy, but what came up was prep.So I checked it out and it turned preps where these snooty rich kids that wear uniforms a lot. It seemed our version of prep was different from the worlds also I hated wearing uniforms because where I come from we have a strict dress code.Even my friend who people had called preppy said she wasn't a prep because they only talk to like two or three people. I talk to this whole school. So as soon as I shun the idea of being a prep I started thinking of more things I could be like emo.Except I wouldn't cut myself I thought I'd be perfect only to find out I'd be better off as a scene.Mainly because scenes don't cute themselves and their very colorful people the thing about it was it couldn't just happen over night so I kept who I was a secret.I even signed my diary with ss meaning Secretly Scene. One day in gym while chatting with my friends I told them I was thinking of becoming a scene since it came up in conversation. The truth was I wasn't thinking I already was one one of my friends said that they could actually see that. While another said why do you even want to be that who put this bull in your head. While in my mind I was thinking because it's me. So know it's summer I have a goal.My goal is to become a scene site model and once I'm one I'm telling everyone who I am and if they like it who cares I'll be a scene queen by then :). Changes are I'm going to be the only African american scene in high school ,but hey it's my first year and there might be more just like me.Look out world because I am Lakendra Lions future scene queen.:) ps. I am lion hear me roar!:3

My name is Ivvy... I love to hang out with my friends, or atleast the ones i have. I'm not a very popular person, people say I'm too bosy but hey, if I want something some way I'll get it. I talk to very few people. I'm not shy just people dont talk to me so I dont talk to them... Hell no! I will walk up to you and act like I've known for like ever. My friends say that I'm too random I didnt think that was possible! But, what ever it just means I'm more fun. I dont put my self under catagories I'm not emo, goth, or scene... I'm Ivvy. I dont give an f*** about haters, cause guess what. Haters gonna love me! I've learned over time to not care about em'. I love to listen to music, go on facebook, and text. My favorite band is Blood On The Dance Floor. Please no hate about them either. That's pretty much it.
