How to dye a rainbow coontail in your hair!
Things you'll need:
1. at least 5 or 6 color dyes of your choice. (manic panic dye is recommended.)
(red, blue, purple, orange, green, yellow.)
2. a hair dye brush.
3. rubber gloves.
4. conditioner. (optional)
5. tin foil.
6. blow dryer.
7. you need to have blonde/light color hair for it to show up well.
this may take up to 30-45 minutes for the entire process.
First, separate the section of hair you want to be dyed from the rest of your hair and pin the rest back.
With your hair dye brush dip it in the first color you want and make a horizontal line about 1/2 an inch or an inch thick.
If you want spaces between your colorful stripes then apply conditioner in each spot you don't want dyed. Other than that, repeat the 2nd step 5 or 6 times more until your section of hair is completely colored. Now blow dry your section for 1 minute & wrap tin foil around the section and flatten it out. Leave it for 30 minutes or less, then check it again and continue to blow dry. Leave it for the full 30-45 minutes and rinse and dry when the time is completed.
Now you have yourself a rainbow coontail!

What Scene Really Means!!
Being scene is being unique. If you want to be scene you have to original. I have been a scene queen since 8th grade and i graduated school this year. So ive been a scene queen for 5 years ^^ Back when scene first started being the new "emo". Scene is basically just happy, outgoing people. You wear what you want, You act how you want--and are really super sweet-- So if you wanna be scene don't copy someone else be yourself. I have the big teased hair normaly but i also like to spice it up and tease up a pony tail. ^^ So if you wanna be scene be yourself.

To be scene is to.. Be yourself. Scene isn't just people with unbelievebly sexy hair. It's so much more. It's a state of mind. you may dress in the scene fashion, but you're not truely scene unless you think like a scene. Bands are a BIG part of the scene culture. Mostly hard rock, or screamo. BrokeNCYDE, The Millionaires, Avenged Sevenfold, and ISetMyFriendsOnFire are only a few scenester faves. Make up is a fairly simple task. Eyeliner, mascara, and foundation or powder. I personally prefer powder. There's plenty of videos on Youtube showing you how to do scene hair/makeup, so check 'em out if you need some help. :)

How to do short scene hair . 1)wash your hair and wait for it to dry. 2) Straighten your hair as straight as possibly 3) divide your hair into four section top middle bottom and bangs. 4) bottom section: if you have or want put in hair extension here/ if not just put into some cute lil pigtails. mid section: here your going to wanna lightly tease it so its poofy but not over the top (i like to use just a lil hair spray so its not glued to my head). top: here you wanna tease it big lots of hair spray make it unique spike it or just major poof. bangs: finally for your bangs swoosh them to one side of your face and add any kind of bow 5) walla finished if you want spray some more hairspray for more hold ( i prefer to do this ) and your done awesoesauce scene hair

:) ... scene to me is unique in every single person. i believe you dont have to strictly follow the so called "scene rules" , but pick up on some of them and add your own twist to it! :D
Looseaa Luu
The truth is, whatever you do there will always be someone who will judge or label you. Even though it can be hard at times, it is improtant not to let that person or people knock your self esteem. Being scene is all about being yourself, and therefore being unique. It isn't about fitting in or blending into the crowd. If you want to change something about yourself, ignore those judgemental people and DO IT! Because at the end of the day, its you who wants to make those changes, and that's all that matters :)
Nikki Manson
Hai guys! ^^ I'm Nikki Manson! I've always loved the "scene" style, and i believe to become a "scene Queen" you must have something to stand out from the rest. For instance, me. I have a pale face, white blue hair, and green eyes. Weird huh? Could be.! But to be a scene queen you must be able to deal with the wierd stares you get from other people! Plus, it makes it all the more fun!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*How To Make An Off The Shoulder Top~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The only stuff you'll really need is a t-shirt, And some sharp scissors (Maybe something to measure with too :3) Then: 1. Lay you're shirt out on a flat surface. Make sure there are no creases And that it's flat.(You don't want your cutting to be uneven) 2. Cut the collar of your shirt off. 3. Start cutting right before the shoulder hem on your sleeve. Go a little under where you cut your collar, depending on how low cut you want it. And as you make your way to the other sleeve, swoop your cutting down to make the off the shoulder look. 4. Try it on, make sure it's snug. If you don't think it's low cut enough, or the sleeve isn't right, make some adjustments. 5. I usually cut the sleeve hems off of my shirt, but you don't have to. Anyways, 6. Cut the hem on the bottom of your shirt as well. It makes it look more like you bought it like that. So, if all of it fits good, You can either slip on a tank top underneath, (To cover your bra strap ^-^) Or just leave your bare shoulder showing. And if everything goes well, you have your self a free new top(:

Being Scene
When your scene, you don’t have to give a crap about what people think of you. I told my friends I was scene and they weren’t very interested. That was ok with my because I like being scene and they don’t have to care. If they had had a problem with it, I wouldn’t have cared!!! So tell your friends, tell them how awesome it is and how great it feels to be a Scene Queen. We all need more Scene Queens in the world. Help our community get even BIGGER!!!! I love being scene, I love the freedom and the style, but mostly I love having all these people be like me and have these same interests. SO BE A AWEOMSE SCENE QUEEN!!!

HOW TO BE SCENE
We have all seen these scene kids before- the boys and girls at shows with the tight jeans, big hair, and big sunglasses. In just a few short years, the scene culture's popularity has skyrocketed. Scene kids are often stereotyped as "emo kids;" this is a common misconception. Scene kids may look a bit "emo," but scene kids have good self confidence, unlike most people who claim to be "emo kids." A scene kid is closer to a raver than a emo kid.
1 work on your self confidence. No matter where you are, people will criticize you. There will always be someone who doesn't like you; it's impossible to please everyone. You need to learn to embrace your flaws. It's important to know who you are and what you want. Remember, most people hate because they're jealous or hating makes them feel powerful. Stand out to be confident. Don't ever become scene just to please someone. Also, if you are going to be a scene kid in a place where they are extremely rare, be prepared for the angry glares and discrimination you will get from other people. If you act like it doesn't bother you, most people will get over it. However, be careful not to become overconfident. Nobody wants to interact with someone who puts them down or acts like a jerk, but don't let people walk all over you either. You need to know just the right balance.
2 Be nice. Make a good effort to be kind to others, and have an understanding that everyone has their own problems, not just you. Who knows? Maybe through your actions, scene kids will be considered really nice. The main reason why scene kids are criticized is because of people assuming they are mean and self-centered, even when they aren't.
3 become active on social networking sites. Twitter, and Facebook, Formspring, youtube, Thesceneteens, Buzznet, and Stickam, MySpace are sites you can have accounts on. Accept any friend request you get (within reason). However, do not worry about avoiding websites with the words "emo," "scene," "punk," or anything else like that in the URL; these websites aren't always overrun with posers. TheSceneKidz.grouply.com is probably the most reliable scene site to join. Another idea is to start up a fashion blog on tumblr or blogspot, like Cyndi Cyanide. Not only can you update people on new trends or legit up-and-coming bands, but you start putting yourself on the map to get noticed.

~scene hair how to~ only seven steps!!
things that u will be needing /using: comb, hairspray, straightener, hair brush (anywill do, as long as its small.) hands ;).
NOTE: you will need layers!!!
step one: brush your hair and make sure all tangles are out and it is moveable.
step two: straighten your hair COMPLETELY. !!!
step three: tie up top layer, take a piece of the layer under it and teas it, and spray it. Do the same to the other side.
Step three: shape the hair u teased so it does not look as messy.
step five: untie the top layer of hair, select small amounts and begin teasing. (NOTE: for better hold spray roots befor teas)
step six:shape the teased top layer to a desired look. SPRAY SPRAY SPRAY...
step seven: add something cute :) add a big bow or a cute clip place it wherever you believe looks best :)
NOTE: for straightening it would be best to put a product in your hair to keep from getting burnt, your hair might flatten a little then again depends on how much you spray it, also your hair will look better with i dye on it i suggest manic panic and splat hair die, extream colors for extream kids ;)

[This is how I do my] "Scene" Hair:
1~ I straighten all mah hair..
its almost naturally straight but there's always those stubborn hair.
2~ I Tease/Backcomb [like brushing upwards :3] it.
I dont do it very big. just a little.
3~ I spray it a LITTLE.
I dont need a crap ton of hairspray. I love the world ;D
4~ I kinda mess with it after all this.
If i dont like it..I'll redo all the steps. :P
I dont have extensions. All of my hair is mine (: but i might get some >w

How To Make A Kandi Star.
What you'll need:
-strechy string.
-25 beads.
1. Take medium amount of string & put 10 beads on it & then tie it.
(Cut of the string that sticking out after you tied it).
2. Take another of medium amount of string & then put it through any bead out of the 10 beads. (From there you have a string sticking out the bead on both sides of that bead you put the string through).
3. Put 3 beads on the string that you put through that bead. (Any Side) &, then skip a bead then it through the other&pull the string.
(Automatically the 3 beads will stand up & look like one of the star pointy sides).
4. Keep doing the samething until you have all 5 of the pointy star sides.
(Take the string, put 3 beads, skip a bead put through the another&pull).
5. After you have all 5 pointy sides, tie the string that's through the last bead of the last pointy side you have & the string that's at the end & tie it.
& That's all :D. You have your kandi star! :3

How To Make Coon-Tails :)
1. Prepare. Separate the section of hair you want to dye. Make sure all remaining hair is securely pinned out of the way. If more than one section is being dyed, choose one section to dye at a time. Curly hair will need to be straightened to makes the dying process easier. You should also try to ensure that the section of hair you have chosen is of a consistent length, and that the section falls together.; sections that do not fall together will not give you the desired effect when dyed
2. Prepare your stripes. Prepare pieces of scotch tape between 1 -3 inches long, depending on the thickness of your chosen strand, and wrap it around that section of hair. Rubber bands and baby oil also work. Just put the baby oil around the rubber band. Putting conditioner on the taped parts will help stop it from being dyed, as well as allow for easier tape removal.
3. Continue wrapping your hair with the tape, evenly spacing out the distance between each piece. Make sure the tape is tightly wrapped around your hair.
4. Prepare the dye. Read the directions of your hair dye carefully and prepare the mixture. Some dyes need to be applied to slightly wet hair while others can go on dry. Make sure to wear protective gloves, and an old t-shirt. Protect your hairline and ears with a layer of Vaseline, or you may end up with multicoloured skin.
5. Apply the dye. Apply hair dye onto the exposed sections of your hair using your fingers or a tinting brush, while pinching the tape below it with your other hand to make sure the dye does not seep beneath the tape. Continue applying dye to the exposed sections, making sure they are thoroughly saturated.
6. Wait for the dye to develop. Relax during the interval, and prepare your shampoo and hair styling utensils. Make sure to read dye instructions and leave dye in only for the recommended time period.
7. Rinse. Carefully rinse your hair with water, removing the tape as you go. Make sure to remove all the excess dye. Rinse well, shampoo and condition. Try to avoid getting dye residue on your face, as it may stain.
8. Dry. Dry hair and enjoy your coon tail. Should be re-straightened and possibly treated with a glossing spray for super sleek results.

How to make your own hair clip bow!
Things you will need:
Some fabric of your choice( or an old shirt)
Scissors
Glue Gun (Or I found that tackyglue and fabric glue work too but Glue gun stuff works better)
A plain hair clip
Superglue
STEPS:
1. Take the peice of fabric and cut a square out of it( slightly big)
2. cut off a thin strip of the sqare from one of the sides and put it aside for now.
3. Fold all four corners of the square into the center and flip the square over, so you cant see the folds.
4. Then place your two index fingers in the center of the square and start scrunching it gently in.
5. Tie the part you scrunched together with your strip of fabric
6. If the edges of the puffylike parts unfoldes, glue it down with whatever glue you choice to use.
7. Take your plain hair clip and glue it to the back of the bow(which ever side doesnt look the best) I would use either superglue or hotglue for this.
All done! Wait for it to dry then wear it all around!! And send me a pic threw
