Pretty!
Get the hair. Your hair should be layered and colorful! If you decide to dye your hair black, add a couple of neon highlights. If your hair is naturally dark, consider dying it platinum blond, or a funky color like purple or pink. If you don’t want to dye your hair, or your parents won’t let you, get clip-in extensions, but don’t get the cheap ones from Claire’s or Hot Topic; get good ones that actually look real. Bangs look good on any face, and your hair can be straight, curly, long, or short. If you don’t feel like dyeing your hair different colors, then use extensions. There many girls who have long hair with tons of teased layers all throughout it. However it may be harder for african american girls with afro hair. Don’t be afraid though – try anything! Jordan Berrydream brought up plaited extensions. Try getting your hair relaxed. You can never go wrong, as long as you’re original!
Dress appropriately. A lot of guides instruct band tees and bright jeans. That’s a great place to start.but try not to be so predictable. to really stand out, you could try wearing some random Holister hoodie along with your skinny jeans. The styles now days are bright. Go for adorable and cute. A lot of grays, blacks, and whites work well. Tank-top dresses, cardigans, sweater dresses, and patterned tights are very popular right now.
Shoes. Sometimes, bright shoes are okay. But make sure you have a lot of neutral colors in stock- gray flats, black flats, and hot pink ones should ALWAYS be available. Black Fashion Boots are well used when winter hits. Also, some colorful heels are a nice touch. Low-top converse are convenient too.Odd socks are awsome do it like gracii gloom by folding over the tops.3 Accessorize. A lot of total posers will wear five bright, different colored barrettes, bows, and headbands at the same time. Avoid this and pay attention to detail. If you have on pants with a brown seam, wear gold eyeshadow and a brown bobby pin or headband. It’s those little things that will get you defined as stylish and hot. wear a long string of pearls with a vintage tee. Try buying cute kiddish jewelery. You don’t have to wear them out, but they’re good for taking photos with. You can get them very cheap, and if they break it won’t matter so much because they don’t cost! a lot, and plus you don’t want to be caught wearing the same stuff all the time. Plastic hair accessories are getting more popular in the 2010 scene. Kandi is also becoming more popular with scene kids. Don’t know what this is? Kandi is a type of jewelry (they can be bracelets or necklaces) made mostly, but not exclusively, out of plastic pony beads. Ravers and scene kids like to wear a lot of them at a time, and trade them with their friends. All you need to make kandi is beads and string, which you can practically buy anywhere.4Wear eye makeup. Some Examples of good Scene Eye makeup are:
Green, Pink and Blue eyeshadow or any other bold color. Try not to cake on eyeshadow.
Black or dark brown liquid eyeliner are pretty basic. Try purple too!
Clear or Black Mascara
Fake Lashes (for pictures and concerts)
”Doll eyes”
Make some scene friends if you don’t have some already (and make sure that they aren’t posers). Seriously, if you’re the only scene-looking person in your clique, chances are you’ll be seen as a poser. However, don’t get the misconception that you can only associate yourself with other scene kids; try to make friends with people from assorted cliques/styles/backgrounds.
Be random, but never overdo it. You may sound cool if you blurt out something out of context once in a while, but no one wants someone who screams ”purple hippos!” every ten seconds. That’s just annoying, and no one likes annoying people.
Realize that some people will hate you. Those people include punks, skater kids, and most members of the scene or visitors of the local venue that aren’t scene kids. Don’t label people, and then they might not hate you. You are all people, not separate species.
Don’t limit yourself to one scene style, as there are many such as fashioncore/glamcore (fashion-focused), stereo kids (wilder-looking, more about the music), and deathcore/br00tal kids (darker, primarily listens to metal/grindcore). Although used to poke fun at scenesters, yourscenesucks.com can give a pretty good idea about different scene styles.
Girls: use popular scene queens for inspiration on how to look and dress. Examples of these would be Raquel Reed, Audrey Kitching, Zui Suicide, and Kiki Kannibal.
Know how to properly label music; mainly, realize that just because a certain band’s music involves screaming does NOT make it ”screamo.” It’s a common mistake, and knowing this will save you a lot of embarassment.
Make sure that you are very careful with your hair. It’s good to use a thermal protection spray applied in your hair before straightening or curling it. It’s also nice to buy lots of hairspray. Brands like Bed Head, Aussie(tests on animals), got2b, and Rave are all reputable brands.
Things You’ll NeedScene clothing (skinny jeans, band shirts, and sweaters)
Eye make-up
Layered, teased out hair
Huge sunglasses
Camera
Shoes (Vans, Converse, or Nikes. Heels and flats if you are going for a girly look.)
A can to carry around so that people will label it and not you.
Picture editing skills to make the lighting of your pictures more scene and make your skin look silky smooth.

well i don't really understand what im suppose to be doing here so ill just wing it and hope it works out to my advantage.
Ive been scene now for about three years. i started in the seventh grade when no one at my school was really in to the scene thing. i go to a mostly Hispanic school where every one dresses the same and looks the same in every way they all listen to the same music but not me. ive always been different then my friends they were always alot more punk then anything and when i started teasing my hair and embracing the style of a scene kid they stared at me like i was lot or something but i didnt care i told them if they are really my friend then they shouldnt care im still the same person. i think im cocky about the way i am so people dont bother me when they stare then at least im noticed unlike every one who looks the same and listens to the same music because im different i stand out and if they want to criticize me and talk crap then they can suck my nut cause i could care less what some body else thinks of me its all what i think and how i judge myself.

Poserx
I really hate the word poser. People say that, Scene kids are posers. How can you possibly be a poser if nobody is alike? Being scene does not just mean big hair and Hello Kitty. It means standing out, being confident (not too confident!), and knowing how to express yourself. People tell me all the time that I act like a “White Girl” whatever that means. They probably say it because I listen to rock instead of rap, or because I am more outgoing then the usual “normal” person. But I don’t want to be normal. I want to stand out of the crowd full of practically bald girls who all tried to look like Rihanna and dyed their hair blond. I want to be Tiara, “the girl who has long jet black hair, with platinum blonde chunks and turquoise blue streaks.” I just have to get straight A’s first. And I honestly don’t care if you call me a Furby, or attack me with your glares. I could care less.
Being “scene” does NOT mean the same thing as being “emo”. Scene kids are more fashionable and happy. And we’re very in touch with our musical side. I don’t think I could live without my iPod. My definition of scene style is: band tees, skinny jeans, Converse, lots of Hello Kitty and Domo, and mp3 players. And scene kids aren’t mean either. No matter how scary we look. Basically, being scene is a really rad way of being yourself!

Scene
Where I live, they are not too many scene kids but there is quite a few and most of them are gorgeous.
In school I do get looked at but I just don't let it bother me and I keep smiling. I like to stand out and be different, there is not a word in the bible that says it is a sin, so do it.
You don't have to listen to music like, Dot Dot Curve, BrokeNCYDE, Blood on the Dance Floor, Scotty Vanity, Metro Station, etc to be scene.
I listen to everything, like country. Most of the music bands I've talked about above, I only like one of them.
If you like to dress a certain way, then do it and don't let other people stand in your way.
Find people who love you for who you are, not for what you wear or your what you look like.
None of us are going to live forever so why don't we just make the most of it as much as we can.
I don't always wear makeup and I don't always tease my hair.
You don't have to dye your hair, you can dye it, but to me it's an option.
You don't need piercings either, most do but, just be you and not try to copy someone's style, cause then you'd get called a poser, etc.
So pose for pictures, dress the way you want and just be happy with who you are and not for what people want you to be.
Have fun and always smile. (:

Haters
Haters gonna hate. people say i look like a tramp, freak, or whatever rude, mean things that come to their small brains that day. But I continue doin what i do.
People who say things like this have no idea what they're talking about. Don't let them get to you. Even if you're one in a million people, take that to your advantage and stand out the best you can. It's perfectly fine to be a heat turner.
Stand out. Be a rainbow, or a bag of skittles. There are thousands on people that fall in the "scene" stereotype, that get the same insults. So knowing you're not alone is the best part. Be strong, stand out, and don't let the haters get to you.

Scene/ Alt Make Up
Scene/Alt. Makeup; First off what you want to do is moisturize your skin, No pimples today (:. If you want you can find a moisturizer/primer in 1 so you can knock a step off. If not prime your face after the moisturizer. Next you'll want to apply foundation, I prefer lighter than my skin color because I dont look as plastic, in my opinion. After you do that it's time to conceal any blemishes,or under eye circles. The next step is powder, unless your aiming for the glossy greasy look, and I'm almost positive you're not :). That's it for the face portion of your makeup. Next are your eyes. Now it's time to use our trusty eye primer to enhance any color and for long time wear. Now apply a black eyeshadow on your outer v on your eye, now blend out the harsh edges. For the next part you line your lash line with any type of pencil liner. Next step is to start at the inner corner of your eye with liquid liner and go along your crease as to not disturb the part of white were saving for last, now wing out the liner, like a cats eye, let dry. It's now time to add a dab of color. In your inner v and middle of your crease and brow bone add any color you'd like, I usually do the color of my shirt that day (:. After you're done with that line your bottom lash line with white pencil liner and below that apply black pencil liner. Now is the time to decide whether or not to wear your beloved false lashes or just use mascara. Either way it's your choice (:
The last thing you'll need to do is add a pinch of color to your cheeks. Either light red or pale pink are the best colors. :D
Things your going to need:
Mositurizer
Primer
Foundation
Concealer
Powder
Eyeshadow
Liquid Liner
Pencil Liner
White pencil liner
False lashes (optional)

Not Normal
when people look.. they see a freak, a lunatic and an insane bitch with colorful hair and a nice face. what they dont see is a girl crying her self to sleep at night.. and a shattered heart. but somthing i refuse to do is let my past control my future.. and i also refuse to be normal.. because if your normal.. then no one else will truly know you. if they see a freak then there blind. no matter what they say.. your always gonna be unique. and uniqueness is what i stand for. even while your holding back tears.. stand tall and say i dont care... because i know its not true. then walk away. and shake it off. becuase ofcoarse you know that there just jealous 'cause there part of the wall. and your standing there like a beautiful neon sign flashing: AMAZING! AWESOME! BEAUTIFUL! UNIQUE!. even if your a litte crazy.. its because your awesome and unique. and with being scene.. and the way i look i dont care how many snyde and rude comments i get.. because i know ill always get a nice one.. and when you give one you get one.. being nice and truly yourself.. is very important.

Everywhere. while people like me Try to be themselves. Hates only hate because They like wasting time on you to think of a way to hate. They do it often so If you always get sad about haters then think of this and shut up and smile for them maybe next time they'll take a picture instead of wasting their time

Normal?
When your brought into the world by your parents, every child is made to grow up and be 'normal'. Well, for some children it's diffrent. Take me for example. I'm Ashleigh. I have naturally dark hair but it's semi red now. You could say I'm not normal. I'm naturally short, deal with it. I seriously hate people who steriotype me straight away and called me an 'emo' or a 'whore', get to know me first and then you'll see the real me. If your wondering why my first name is spelt 'Ashley', it's because It looks better that way:). One of my closest friends started calling me Ashley Heart because he thought I was special and loving. Don't think I'm bragging by saying that, because I'm not that type of person. Right, so the good things are out the way. Now the downside to me. I get called Bitchy, annoying and self centred. I'm not always like that, only when I have issues going on in life or I'm just in a 'piss off' mood. I don't take that many photos of myself but I do take a decent amount. If you don't like me for no reason, I will hate you back!
I joined this site, not only to show who and what I am, but to show that you don't have to be like everyone else to fit in. Be yourself, not who people want you to be!
Signed: Ashley Heart<3.

Ppl say
People say scene kids are wierd, mean, and do illeagle activitys, stoners, drunks and scary. Ware i come from I'm the only one who is scene. Half the school hates me already so I said whynot and changed it all up my friends supported me in my choice to be scene. I've been called a goth, emo, slut, wierdo, a bitch and more because I have blue and magenta hair exstentions and I have my nose pierced and I want tattoos, when I go to the mall half the stores I walk in peopl stare at me because "i dont belong" I'm just a person, like all the other people who have a style out there, like people dont give death stares to preps, hipsters or jocks or sport spices. Just because that I'm differnt doesnt mean that you have to be mean about it. The other day in class we were talking about prejudgeing people and my teacher gave the exsample of people who ware all black with the hair makeup and clothes and nails n all that and the whole class started at me. I have friends who are disappointed in my choice to be scene but i got tired of being the same as everyone. I did this for me and they have to live with it. I'm an definitely more confident with my self because now i can walk down the hallway and just not care what other people think. I go to school ware 6th 7th and 8th are in the same building I'm in 8th grade and it makes me laugh when little 6th graders walk by me and get this look on there face and think I'm gonna like kill them. I feel bad too tho because I'm not a scary person I'm really nice and I love to be around people.

How to be a Scene Queen
How To Be A Scene Queen.
By Poppi Panic!
First Off...
Don't announce to the whole world that you are scene, otherwise, people will think you're just a poser! What you do is if anyone aks you if you are emo or scene, say you don't label yourself, and that you just dress and act how you are and feel. By saying that, people won't think you are a poser.
Get The Look!
Hair:
For your hair, it is usually teased, or straightened. Here is how to get the teased hair look.
First: Get a comb/brush and then grab a section of your hair, and put the brush on it, and push down so it stands up.
Second: Then hairspray that in place.
Third: Repeat that until you are satisfied with your look!
Fourth: Accessories! You can have a head band, or a big bow. Bows are really in with the scene style, so just clip a bow in your hair to make it stand out!
Make up:
When you wear make up, you want to stand out! So what you do is you wear bright colors around your eyes, or dark black eyeliner around your eyes... Or both!
First: Get a color/colors of your choice, and apply them to
your eye, if you are doing a rainbow look, make sure you do small sections of color on the eye, to apply all the colors.
Second: When done with that, apply liquid eyeliner, or pencil eyeliner for the bottom of your eye, depending on the top or bottom of your eye you are going to apply it to.
Third: Then apply BLACK mascara, to the bottom and top lashes.
Forth: You're done!
Clothes:
Be creative with clothes, a cute dress is even fine, but make sure you accesorize with your own sense of style!
Most "scene" people wear skinny jeans and a tank top.
Skinny jeans are a must! You can wear tutu's too.
For shoes, Converse and Vans are the best for your look, so go out and buy some converse or vans, they aren't expensive either!
For your shirt, a band t-shirt is great and a regular shirt is great too, just make sure you stand out!
Name:
Make sure your scene name is unique, usually people have a word starting with the first letter of there name, so you should too! It's much more better!
Make sure it sounds cool and very individual. And also make sure you can remember it!
Follow these steps, to gradually become a scene queen!
Good luck!

Make-Up
Herroo!! My name happens to be mikomi! And what i think scene is is basiclly being yourself while following the basics. If that does make any sense to anyone other than me. but being scene means liking things that catch the eye, whether that thing be pink or black. another basic rule is to be confident and kool. yes kool. no matter where you are with how ever many people that are just like you, most likely your going to get a lot of attention that just might not be all that good. but whaatever happens you should always plaster a smile and ignore them stick in your headphones and blast your music, at least thats what i do. it seems to work, and dont be tacky about it either. you dont want to EVER be called a poser because thats just one of the worst things, and dont be too cocky either. no one wants to make friends with a pretty girl thats full of herself now, right ? Another thing i would like to mention is makeup ! I think the basics of scene makeup would be pencil or automatic eyeliner mascara that gives you definition liquid liner and shadow. alot of the times the makeup is bright and has little eyeliner designs along with it. here are the steps to my daily makeup routine !
step one: wash face
step two: apply moisterizer or lotion
step three: apply foundation that matches your skin tone or slightly lighter if i feel like paler palor
step four: apply powder of the same tone
step five: blend !!!!
step six: apply black eyeliner to the water line n smudge across
step seven: apply a white eyeshadow or white eyelier base to your top lid
step eight: apply a eyeshadow color thats lighter than black to all areas with white
step nine: apply black eyeshadow to the outer half of yopur lid
step ten: make everything even and blend
step eleven: apply a line of liquid liner with a slight wing
step twelve: smudge the black liner to run along the liquid
step thirteen: apply your fake eyelashes or mascara
step fourteen: apply foundation to your lips and add a high shine colorless gloss
step fifteen: clean up fallen makeup on your skin and fix your face base.
Sooooo there you all go ! thank you my lovely loves for visitinggg ! <3

Not Emo
People say scene really are just colorful "EMO" Kids. Thats not the case though. Scene is a Fashion statment unlike "Emo" Which means emotional mad outcast. Alot of people call scene kids posers. Thats not the case as well. Scene kids CHOOSE to be like they are. We are the people who live to please ourselves not our peers or our parents, nor school or adults. We are who we are no one can change it! (: sex drugs rock and rave lets get smashed & misbehave

SceneKid
Everyone has heard of the stereotypical scene kid, but people have it all wrong. Scene kids aren't always egotistical and full of themselves. Most are just very confident and outgoing. Every scene kid should make their style their own. You should have the basics: skinny jeans, band tee's, jewelry, tiaras, etc., but you should make them your own. Then comes the scene name. I chose mine because I always wear a cupcake mood ring, plus I love cupcake pebbles. Just be creative and pick something that is catchy and unique. Last, but certainly not least, the BIG, teased up hair! There's many different ways to tease your hair, depending on the type of hair you have and how you like the look overall. The best way is to use a finetooth comb and a lot of hairspray. First, hairspray the section of hair that you are teasing. Next, tease the hair with the comb in the opposite direction that your hair is growing. Then hairspray the section again. Repeat with all of your hair until you are satisfied with your look. Hope this helps you. Toodles for now!
Katie-Core
Being scene isn't about the hair or the look mainly, its part of it, but the not the core. Scene's who you are & you can never change that. Using the term "stop being scene" is unnessary. If you "stopped being scene" then maybe you were never scene at all. Failing to look like your scene is another thing. Don't ever let people tell you who you are. You alone is the best person there will ever be. Be true to yourself & be the best you can be. Scene is one thing you can't pretend to be. It's not just a style, it's a personality.
Scenester
About a year and a half ago, I got into the whole scenester mode. The way this trend allowed me to be myself, and I didnt have to change my look made me feel great. Being a model has been my dream since I was 6. Now that im 14 I dream to pursue that. Scenequeens.com is really a website to show people your not another Hannie Dropkick, Autumn Bottum, or Katie Babyfayce. Its a website to show who you really are deep down inside. My names ßritt ķidd❤ and I will be somebody!
:D
It's pretty sad how "scene" kids are misunderstood. They're called "emo" just by the way they look. But something most people fail to understand, is that both emo, and scene, are both music genres. You shouldn't tell people you're scene, because that's just you being fake. Be yourself, and tell them you're yourself, and no other. Otherwise, you're only a disgrace to yourself.
PRETTY!
Ohkay, so I guess how I became scene was all because of my friend Kelly. I love her to death, she's like my sister, and she just so happened to be scene. I completely fell in love with the clothing style and hair style and makeup. She was the one to start me off with being scene. One day when I was over her house I asked her if she could help me become scene. She was more than willing to help me. She showed me how to do my hair off a video on youtube. After that day I guess I just kind of went off on my own and went original. My style is completely my own, I guess. I wear skinny jeans or shorts, and then usually a spaghetti strap top on hot days, if its kind of cold I’ll put on one of my t-shirts, if its cold I throw on a sweatshirt too. As for shoes... I absolutely adore my converse, lol. I don’t wear a lot of makeup. I just wear eyeliner on my waterline and on the top of my eyes. If I feel like it I draw on cat eyes. I'm not a fan of eye shadow. It just gets messy. If I need to I’ll wear cover up. As for my hair I tease it. Sometimes I straighten it and sometimes I just leave it natural. Which is curly. About a week ago my friend gave me a scene name I guess. She keeps calling me Jerilyn Deranged. So I guess that's my scene name. And that's all really. I hope you liked reading my little thing.(:
SceneKids
Scene kids are known for their big hair, colorful clothing, Names, and fabulous make up. Everyone has their own scene. Whats mine you may ask, well I'm here to tell you. I define my scene as laid back, comfortable, colorful, and loud. Do I sport the big hair? Not really it will occasionally look big on its own. I definitley have the bright and colorful clothing. I might be the only girl around where I live that wears zebra print, checkard, and plaid pants with a simple band tee. The only one of my race im sure. Not a lot of African Americans sport the scene style, but I guess that makes my scene more different. I'm absolutely NOT afriad to be different and stand out. Being scene is a way to express your individuality. Be scene and make it your own, something no one has ever scene before and admire. That's what I feel like I do everyday when I go to school. My scene is loud, crazy and random. Whats my scene? My scene defines my personality and its me. :]
HI
Hiya! Here goes nothing. Just because you may not fit in or be in he "in crowd" dosent mean you have to change for others. Being who you are is being the perfect person for your self not for others, what you like is there problem not yours. So tease your hair all you want! Run around naked! BE YOUR SELF!
