Being yourself is all that matters. The people who hate you wish they were as amazing as you, in all your different ways; your creativity, or your beauty, or your intelligence, or all three and more. Stand up for yourself, and let your personality show! Don't let the people who insult you have their way. Show them the real you!

An article on being scene? hmmm... To me,scene is being different,sticking out,and finding out on who you are. I think "scene" is a fantastic combination of "emo" and "girly". My friend the other day goes,"I wanna go scene" i turned at her and laughed. in my opinion you can't "go" scene, it's about being confident with yourself and who you are. Cute clothes,banging accessories,and my favorite,the hair(: Music taste is also rather important. I love concerts, music festivals, WARPED TOUR(: My friend has the attitude down,so i know she can pull it off,but just the idea of someone wanting to "go scene" is ridiculous,i mean,be real. i live in this small,one horse county where everyone knows each other. everything gets trendy REALLY fast here,so in turn, "scene" is a trend now. there's so many two-faced fakes who'd be pretty awesome if they were just themselves. i suck at words, in case you haven't noticed, but I love the scene look. I'm addicted to constantly changing my hair, skinny jeans, band shirts, etc. I hate copiers. And posers. Come up with your own shit. Fitting in is over-rated. don't lie about stuff either, propose different perspectives, no one's exactly the same,kay? Kay. Everyone already has this terrible image of scene kids, we're mean and nasty, and spread rumors, at least that's what it's turned into here,no one's ever pleased with you, and someone always hates you, but haters are what make you famous, right? :)

I have decided to apply for this site because I love modeling and I love the scene queen style. Everyone stereotypes it to be girls with big poofy hair and wild makeup and crazy colors. Though I don't believe that is all true. I believe that everyone is going to have their own twist to their certain. Me, for example, I add my unique twist of dark and neon colors combined. I choose to wear this style because it expresses me in many ways I can't explain in words. My clothing always expresses my moods and how I'm feeling that day. Many people judge me saying that I dress to wild and too weird, truthfully I don't think anyone can get too wild with their clothes. It makes me confident knowing that others notice my clothing and my taste in makeup too judge on how it looks. I take all criticizam to heart in a good way, I like to know what others think of me. My parents tell me to not let others walk all over me and I don't. I know to be nice but not too nice. I'm known to have a protective side when it comes to my friends. My friends are a huge part of my life and I hate seeing them upset. I'm also honest and I'm not afraid to hurt feelings. I also realize my mistakes when I make them..

Hello there my name is Nadia and I'm 13. I'm usually always labeled at my school as the "emo kid" or "scene kid" just because of the way I look. I really don't care what people think about me, I look the way I want and i'm gonna be me. I don't look or act this way for anyone, I only do it because I'm being myself and this is basicaly me being original. And scene is about being original, right ? People say scene kids are outcasts because they are expressing their own and unique way on how they want to dress. I think us scene kids are very different from other people because we know what we like and dont like. Any of the scene kids should share their own style with everyone and show them the real you. About Meh: OK, so I guess the first time I tried signing up, I didn’t “handwrite” the sign in the pic, so I’m trying again, and with a new article, cuz honestly I didn’t like my first one to begin with. Idk. SO anywayy, yeah, I’m scene. My outfit? Skinnies, Converse (most of the time), some sort of tee, whether it’s a band tee or its got cartoons on it or whatev, and all my clothes are usually tight (with the exception of my baggy but awesome Aerosmith tee). I stick a brightly colored bandana in my back pocket, which guys tend to have a bad habit of trying to steal. I wear a purple tie a lot of the time. Sometimes, when I really wanna get dressed up, I wear a tutu with bright purple leggings, along with my Converse. And BOWS (most of the time, but not in this pic). My makeup consists of VERY bright colored eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner (of course!), foundation, and a tiny bit of blush. Oh yeah, I wear an Escape the Fate bracelet and a couple other bracelets, and also some black and red striped fingerless-gloves (unfortunately I can’t seem to find them lately… I’ll just have to get some new ones). I can hardly go anywhere without those. Oh yes, I paint my nails, sometimes black, sometimes lime green, sometimes black with white stitches. My personality? I try to be confident as much as I can, but u know, not an overload; I’m not full of myself. I don’t always have the best self esteem, but that’s the only “confidence” problem I’ve got. I’m a generally mellow person, as long as u don’t catch me while I’m major happy, cuz then I’m hyper and I can’t seem to keep myself from talking about the most random crap lol. I have a very musical/artistic personality. I play guitar, piano, can play flute but I don’t anymore, and I sing. I write my own songs as well. But anyway, I hope I make it on here, and I hope this second time actually works :) thnx 4 reading!

For me being scene is expressing myself without using words
and yeah sure people give me 'the look' like there thinking "She's a FREAK" and some people chose to verbalize it to my face or behind my back and i simply don't care im being me and there's no law against it,
Even though my mother doesn't let me get my hair dyed in the crazy colors i want or let me get a lip ring, she is very sportive of me being scene.

and say whenever someone makes fun of me they'll go and kick that persons booty(: aha i love my friend and my family, my best friend or my 'sister' is a huge help, she lends me down her old skinny jeans,band tee hair clip-ins and i love her to pieces(:

I get called "emo" or "goth" but I'm neither. I actually don't claim the title "scene" either. I'm myself! All those names aren't who you are. Its your style. Your own unique style. People say scene is suppose to be the teased hair and neon colors, but its not always that. You don't have to do that stuff if its not you. I don't tease my hair. I believe that anybody can be scene. Doesn't matter if they don't tease their hair or wear lots of bracelets. If that's your style then you should do it. Its about being yourself. and loving it! :)

A scene girl usually has choppy hair done by herself and a septum ring. They’re usually obnoxious. They’re into music such as, Screamo, Alternative and maybe some Techno music. They like to wear, Bracelets/Bangles, Skinny Jeans, Tee’s of all sorts, Converse, Vans, Normal High Tops, Stuff like that.

It's important to know who you are and know what you want. Remember, most people hate because they're jealous or hating makes them feel powerful. Stand out to be confident. Don't ever become scene just to please your peers. Also if you are going to be a scene kid in a place where they are extremely rare, be prepared for the many angry glares and discrimination you will get from other people. However, be careful not to become overconfident. Nobody wants to interact with someone who puts them down or acts like a jerk, but don't let people walk all over you either. You need to know just the right balance, you absolutly shuld be nice. People say scene kids are Jerks and emo and where not where just normal peaple now robots who act like eceryone else we do what we want to and are nice to everyone not to just peaple we like.

People say scene kids are ignorant, mean, snobby, and full of themselves. They say we all talk lyke ths & cnt spll. But that is not even close to the truth. Scene kids are kids who are themselves and who express themselves in their own way. Yes almost all of us are addicted to music. And it is true most of us love bright colors but does that make us copies? No, it makes us unquie. So yes, people will hate us, people will tell us we need to grow up and to stop being just another clone but in all truth, they are just jealous.
