No matter where you are, people will criticize you. There will always be someone who doesn't like you; it's impossible to please everyone. You need to learn to embrace your flaws. It's important to know who you are and know what you want. Remember, most people hate because they're jealous or hating makes them feel powerful. Stand out to be confident. Don't ever become scene just to please your peers. Also if you are going to be a scene kid in a place where they are extremely rare, be prepared for the many angry glares and discrimination you will get from other people. However, be careful not to become overconfident. Nobody wants to interact with someone who puts them down or acts like a jerk, but don't let people walk all over you either. You need to know just the right balance, you absolutly shuld be nice. People say scene kids are "wannabe emos" or "attention hoggers" but truely, we are'nt. We don't cut ourselfs (not that all emos do) we aren't depressed (not that all emos are). Just because we have choppy hair and black makeup, doesn't mean a thing. We are actually very outgoing, loud, and love their lifes (sometimes). Now I do admit, peronally, I love attention. But i'm not an attention hogger. You don't need to be what others want you to be. Nobody deserves to get pressured to be something they don't want to be to be accepted. I was pressured to be something I wasn't till 8th grade and then I stopped being what they wanted me to be and I went and became what I wanted to be. Ever since then I have been happier and some people make fun of me, yes but I just ignore it because it's who I am and I'm okay with that. Just be who you want and you will realize that you will be happier that way. When your yourself you'll gain the real friends that you need and don't want to be with you because what they want you to be but what you want to be. I found those friends.

Scene is most possibly one of the most widely used look for self expression and self radiance. People will judge but i like to hear their comments so that i can just say that whatever they say doesnt matter. Scene kids are the ones who like to stand out and are very out loud type of people and if others dont like, they can just deal wif itX).scene is a learn to love type of thing or just dont go for the look at all. Its an image you should obtain with care and make shur everyday is your day to shine. Its how i keep my days going nicely. Being scene is being nice but still tough. You have to be powerful. You have to be tough to be scene because many of us get degraded by who we are. Everyone criticizes, it's how we are we can't help it, but don't let it get to your feeling. A flaw is just a word people use to tell you that you look wrong or act wrong but use it to your strengths, don't let it be a weakness. People say scene kids are scary, some say ugly, or wierd. Being a Scene kid is rough in a place where you need to be wearing Levi jeans and work boots and camo (the dirtier the better). Trying to be who you want to be is hard in a family that doesnt approve of you and knocks you down for who you are and strive to be.

I blended in for the longest time, acted and dressed the same as everyone else. How can you stand out if everyone looks the same? Maybe 2 or 3 years ago, I decided I wanted to be different. No one had to like it, no one's opinion mattered to me. Was I trying to impress anyone? No. Being scene is an extremely different way to express your self, which i absolutley adore. Big hair, bright colors, black make up it all seemed so different to me and thats why i loved it. So I went for it. Yes, there was the occasional rude comment here and there. I've learned that it all doesn't matter. Those people are either just jealous or really love the drama. A lot of people now are saying scene kids are "depressed" or "freaks" or "raccoons" because of their make up. Yes, I've been called all of these, and much worse. Am I any of the above? No. Does it matter to me? No. Not everyone is going to accept you for what you look like. I get descriminated by people and a few of my teachers. People judge me before they get to know me, then spread rumors. Well you know what? I'm happy just the way I am and I will not be changing for anyone.

Where im from there are hardly any scenes , i know about 2 or 3 others, and its really annoying becase basically every one else in England is like chav. So the reason i became like what i am is because when i was around 13 and started going out more, it turned out all the things i was buying and the styles i was cutting my hair and makeup usage turned out to be rather sceneish and it just like formed.
Im a confident person , but also really polite =L Any kind of hating comment i would receive ...well i would just get over it, and so should they; and any glares whilst walking round in the streets, i guess the same principle applies.
So i would be really grateful if you where too consider taking my application and let me onto the site.

All you need is a teasing comb and hairspray. Spray your hair real quick. Then take the comb and just tease layer by layer and spray you hair again when your done teasing. When your done just lighty brush over. And spray again. Add bows and accesories if you wanna:)

To be scene, you don't always have to follow what the others are doing, or even what they tell you. Plus, that's the point: to be you. Take my friend Heasly and I. We are both called scene. At times she teases her hair and wears a small bow, and sometimes she doesn't. Sometimes I just tend to act and talk like a scene kid and that's why my friends say I am. But we just think we are because we like doing our own thing. Being original.

Everywhere you go people will judge you, it doesn’t matter if you’re prep, skater, cheerleader, jock, but the clique that gets judged the most are us scene kids. We get judged because of our hair, the clothes we wear, our piercings, our tattoos, even the music we listen to. I am the only scene kid at my school; I am the only one with big hair and awesome colors in my hair. I get judged A LOT. But I don’t care what people say about me, I’m my own unique self. I don’t want to be everyone’s so called normal person. I want to be myself. Everyone should want to be there selves. I know I don’t want be normal and fit In with everyone, to me it’s better to stand out and make a scene. So go ahead let people judge you, you shouldn’t let it affect you in any way. Scene kids are beautiful and unique.
