Being Scene
ARTICLE:
Being scene is all about being different and standing out. Even within groups of people there is a usual look to everyone,
for scene girls it's usually long straight brown or black hair with different colors streaked in. For me I always stand out in
a crowd and I don't change myself to fit into a certain group. I just naturally fit into being a scene queen, personality and
style wise.
And with my drive to be different even in the scene community, I cut off my super long hair and dyed it blonde.
I love abnormal colurs in my hair so for the summer i put permanent pink in and temporary blue and black. And a girl's gotta
have a hair bow :D. And to get into the summer spirit i bought clip in oversized flowers and replace my bow with them.
But to get my hair how it is, you have to have short layers in the top and as you go down the layers get longer, and I have
fringe bangs so I can have either full fringe or separate it whenever I want. And to get my full teased look, wash your hair
and put a root lifter in (i use Got2b 2 sexy voluptuous volume root-lift souffle), now to use this, I use a quarter sized blob and
put it in your hands and put all through your hair especially towards the roots. Then start to blow dry your hair *without a brush*
and once its almost completely dry put a squirt of anti-frizz serum in your hands and put that thru ur hair evenly
(i use garnier fructis anti-frizz serum sleek and shine) and finish blow drying your hair till its completely dry, then it will take
more shape.
Next get your hair straightener and straighten all of your hair till its perfectly *or near perfectly* straightened.
After that you will need an oversized round bristle brush and a normal bristle brush. To start teasing start at the bottom of your
hair and tease very little, just enough to notice that you teased it, and do this the whole way around your hair. Slowly start
teasing higher up on your hair until you get to the top and then just hold your hair at the ends and tease the roots of your hair
and work out to the ends. If you need to then you can straighten anything else that may have curled up or doesn't look quite rite.
Finish by using hairspray just to set it, not too much tho.
And by the end u can have a short hair scene girl hair style. It takes a little work if you want to do it everyday, but the next day,
it doesn't take very long to redo it, you mite have to straighten a couple pieces and tease it a little but the style holds pretty well
so all the work paid off, and anyways being a scene girl takes a lil work to look that good ;D
