Scene, its not punk, emo, or goth, its just a way to express yourself. Alot of people make comments about the way us "scene kids" dress or fashionize.its just who we are. we have big hair, we like to tease our hair, piercings, bright colors, dark colors, and colored hair and wear skinny jeans. We are not rude, mean, ect.
People like to Judge before getting to know us. They think we do all kinds of drugs when in reality i hate drugs and im really nice. But i do have points when i do get mad everyone does. We listen to Screamo and other music and people think we're weird. We are all the same, us Scene Kids have feelings to. What makes them different from us? i am very Confident on being scene. Never let anyone bring you down (:
I love scene its who i am.

Why did I decide to become scene?
For starters, I never really fit in at school, or anywhere I went for that matter.I tried fitting in with other kids at school, I tried so hard that I eventually realized that I was not getting anywhere, and so I gave up trying. People at school always made fun of me, because I dressed differently and was not "cool" or "Popular".So I began hanging out with the outcast, and turns out that those kids are some of the best kind of people out there. They helped me when I was down and depressed. I had very low self-esteem at the time, and everything was going down hill. Nothing I did in the social world made me happy.
I moved away for a few years, and tried to keep in contact with my friends here in Louisana. It turns out that my best friend & I had alott in common, we liked the same music, liked to wear the same outfits & it turns out that not knowing, we even bought the same hair bows !!!!!! She is now one of the scenest kids I know.
Over the time I was gone, I began to change.I discovered what scene was, and surprisingly, it almost describe me,
I looked into it & it seemed like scene kids had all the confidence in the world & looked really happy. I knew that becoming scene would help bring out the best in me,and boost my self-estem and confidence really high.

In order to be scene, you must be confident. People are going to look down on you no matter what! YOu have to be able to walk with pride and know that you're beautiful, and you're the best of the best. No one but yourself can change you, and in order to be the best scene queen you can be, you must be confident and believe in yourself. Otherwise how else would you be able to be a good rolemodel for the girls/guys that look up to you? Everyone is beautiful, and you must believe in your own beautiful before anyone else can.

How to be scene a.k.a yourself :PPPP
1.Choose what type of hair you want. Colourful with extensions is good and looks scene. If you type in scene kids on photobucket the majority of them are colourful with a good hair style.
2.Get your hair cut professionally. Do whatever you want with it, but do keep in mind that in order to look "scene" it is best to get razored, choppy, short layers on the top of your hair so you can tease it, or spike it, or gel it ANYWAY you want. The typical puffy-top hair is what many scene girl aspire to have. So keep a fairly good length but add plenty of layers, regardless of what every single scene person out there has
3.Dress the part! Wear skinny jeans. Keep them fairly long, but make sure they are not TOO tight. Don't be afraid to wear crazy, random, bright jeans! Get some with prints on them! Be bold! The same goes for T-Shirts. Scene kids are known for being random and loud and for having a don't-give-a-crap attitude. Cartoons and characters like Hello Kitty are really big in the scene world, but don't limit yourself.
4.Think outside the box: Wear spaghetti straps, tank tops, layered tees. Keep them simple up top though. Its acceptable to wear short shorts! Just don't look slutty.Be crazy and unexpected
5Accessorize! Keep it simple but if your going to accessorize let it be belts, bellybutton rings, bracelets and cute necklaces!!
6Keep yourself clean. Take good care of your hair and skin and nails. Paint your nails different colors, sometimes multicolored. Again, bright and bold are good colors to try
7Do your makeup right! Start off with a good, clean foundation, that matches your skin tone. The more the merrier. Some scene kids like the pale look, but don't go so far you look like a clown! Wear black eyeliner, or other odd colors, on the top AND bottom eyelids, but only make the line about 3mm thick on the top, and about 2mm thick on the bottom. Cover the corners of your eyes, front and back and end with a little cat-eye. Eyeshadow is fine. Its also fine to wear two or more colors at once and its cool to add little patterns are the edge of you eyes like a little star or three dots or something like that.
8They say lip gloss but if you are for real nude colored lip gloss is the best but if anything just chapstick will do
9Only get a MySpace if you're not going to paste yourself everywhere as a scene kid, you will only look like a poser. If you do, don't drab it with stupidity. Keep it simple and personal. Also, don't try to hard, as this will make you seem like a poser. You can also try thescenekidz.webs.com. If you decide to use some specifically scene words (such as uber, stellar, legend, wild, rawr, or kid, or adding extra letters to the ends of words ex: kidd) don't overdo it and don't start using scene lingo just out of the blue.
10The best thing to do is never ever ever say out loud you are a scene kid that just pisses ppl off.(well me)
11Finally, if you follow all these steps you will not be unique because the thousands of people before you are also doing this to be "Unique" the only true way to be unique is to be yourself in every way possible. You are the only you out there. Unique people are just people who know who they really are. The vast majority of people are trying to hard to be unique so the vast majority becomes the vast majority. Never forget you can be amazing if aren't already.

How to Be a Cute Scene Girl
The "cute" scene style is a unique, innocent, and youthful sect of the scene subculture. Its focus is primarily on looking young and child-like, with colorful and individualistic choices in fashion. Similar to the kawaii fashion in the harajuku style, it can also be known as the Kawaii Scene Style.
1.Know the reason(s) why you are choosing this lifestyle. If you don't know why you want to become a cute scene girl and are doing it just because other scene girls are doing it, then you are not being a true kawaii scene. Do you want to be cute because you feel young at heart? Because you like cute anime? Whatever the reason, make sure that making this your style is what you really want and that you know why you want it, or you may regret the decision later.
2.Adopt a new attitude. You don't need to completely change who you are, but if you're the gloomy or rude type, know that this is not acceptable in the kawaii scene society and you will be labeled a poser. Also know that, since you are trying to have an innocent persona, all swear words should be completely eliminated from your vocabulary. Your attitude needs to have one or more of the following attributes: cuteness (of course), sweet as sugar, playful, child-likeness (aka- child-like wonder, child-like happiness, child-like giddiness, child-like mischievousness etc.) If you are more of an introvert, you can go for the ultra shy/sweet type. You MUST be kind toward everyone you meet. Yes, even your worst enemy. But don't be fake or too overly nice or goody-goody as this might annoy people. Be an optimist. Have a positive outlook on life, like that of a child. Always remember to look for the best in people.
3.Understand that the original concept of the "cute" style came from Tokyo, Japan, and stems from anime (Japanese animation). Know that anime is an all-important aspect of the cute scene style. Kawaii itself is a Japanese word that means "cute" or "pretty".
4.Start incorporating colors like pink (lots of it!), blue, purple, and some yellow into your wardrobe and accessories. Some red can be good too. Pastels, and bright colors are great. You should think of white as your fashion foundation. A certain amount of black is fine, but try not to have too much of it. Rainbow is also very good
When it comes to fashion, besides going for the "young" look, the main thing to remember is to do anything you want. Anything unique is great. Mismatch colors and patterns. Layer things. Wear giant boots with high furry socks peeking out of the top if you want to. Do something no one does. Do something that expresses your individuality.
Tips: Tops: You must have at least one amazingly cute, mega-over sized jacket. Remember that you are a scene kid after all and don't forget about band shirts. These are very important in the scene community. Make sure that your tops are skin-tight. Try some ribbed tank tops in various neon/bright colors or animal prints. Get some hoodies: branded, animal print, or just solid colors. Cartoon characters are sometimes worn. Such as Invader Zim, Pokemon, and Hello Kitty. Don't wear to much of them, though. And, don't stock up on Hello Kitty. Some Hello Kitty is good. Anything else from the Sanrio company is great. Disney princess shirts are good. Tinker Bell is especially good. Cartoon characters are good. Especially anime. Any top that has a young, cute, or girly style to it is what you're looking for.Pants: Get many pairs of colored skinny jeans. Try colors like dark blue, purple, hot pink, red, etc. but make sure you get one pair of black and one of white. Skinny jeans with patterns or animal print on them are amazing finds. The same goes for leggings and tights. Tiny shorts are very cute.
Dresses and Skirts: Dresses galore. This should be the main ingredient in your wardrobe. Ruffles, frills, lace, bows, anything feminine or cute will do. Lolita dresses are highly acceptable. White dresses are wonderful. Pastels are fine too. Whatever dress you can find that looks like it's more suited for a porcelain doll than for you, GET IT! Skirts should be fairly short. You can wear your leggings or tights underneath. Tutus are NICE. Neon colored is perfect.
Shoes: Vans, converse, flats, ballet shoes, giant black boots, go-go boots, any shoes with thick, chunky heels, uggs, flip flops (only if they're ultra cute), Japanese geta (wooden sandals), and doll style shoes (black or white) are all kawaii scene. As long as they're cute, you could even get away with tennis shoes. This is only a guideline; wear whatever shoes feel right for you.
5.Get kawaii scene hair. Two ponytails, braids of any size, and any "cute" hair style is good. Your hair needs to be layered up top and either slightly or majorly teased. Use hairspray to hold your hair in place. Make your hair look "messy" and like you just rolled out of bed. Don't ask why, just comply. It's sexy in the book of scene. Also, you'll need either bangs, long side bangs, or a fringe. You can dye your hair black, platinum blonde, or an "anime" color such as red, pink, blue, dark blue, purple, etc. You can also dye colored streaks or chunks through random sections in your hair. Coon tails have become quite popular. For the kawaii look, colored coon tails are best. Finish your hair off with a little girl headband and/or a giant bow. Ribbons, clips, and other accessories are also good.
6.Get kawaii scene makeup. For eye shadow, any bright color in the rainbow will do. Black is a popular shadow. Pink, purple, or blue, are especially good for the cute look. The best way a kawaii scene girl can do her eye makeup is to wear the doll-eyed style. It's rather simple, but the results are adorable. YouTube.com has good videos on how to do this. You can make your eyes look rounder and bigger by making eyeliner above your pupil thicker. Extend the eyeliner beyond the outside corner of your eye with a slight flick to make your eyes look longer. For mascara, apply lengthinging mascara to all of your lashes and volumizing mascara to your outer corners, do this on both top and bottom lashes. You may want to consider false eyelashes. Make sure that they look realistic. Apply just a touch of blush. If you want, you can go for the anime look and brush little horizontal ovals on the tops of your cheeks. Lip color should be either pale (if you want to look sexy) or pink (bright or natural).
7.Listen to music. Listen to anything that you like! Sweet, soft music to hard rock. Hip-hop to techno. Japanese rock (J-rock) to classical. It's up to you. Get white, huge headphones for your iPod, (if you want) and pull them down around your neck with the volume still on while talking with people. You should probably keep up to date with the music world.
8. be cute. be unque, but mostly be comfortable and confident in your own skin! :)

I have been a scene kid for 4 years now. I am my own original version of "scene". I may not wear eye catching makeup or clothes. Most of what i wear is vintage. I tease my hair. Most of the time i will put pink extensions or pink n black coontail extensions. I have started putting yellow n black coontail extensions but rarely. Most of my makeup looks natural. The original black liner and mascara. Pink Lipstick. Also an occasional pink eyeshadow. (:

Melissa Melody Marie
Hi my name's Melissa Sbisa but my friends call me Mel. I'm shy and apparently cute (haha) but with my friends I'm usually really loud. I have all of the basic scene items; skinny jeans, hair extensions, band tees, lots of bracelets and necklaces, and I wear eyeliner wherever I go. Even if I'm not going out I still wear it. I try to make everyone happy and my favourite piece of clothing would have to be my pink skinny jeans. I style my own hair and I am in the process of growing it out really long. My hair right now is red and brown. Music means everything to me and I listen to it whenever I can. So that's some stuff about me... Ciao. :)

Scene has been so dismemberd over the years,Now if somone wears somthing colorful or a band T-shirt their "Scene",No scene is about being yourself and showing who you are by the way you dress,Some people may call us freaks of nature.I see us as the future somthing where no one is afraid to be who they are and to love themselfs,I am not embarrsed about how high I tease my hair or to be the only girl in my school with facial piercings it makes me feel proud,To be myself I'm me and I dont need anyone elses approveal.

i believe i am sweet, well atleast until someone gives me a reason not to be. i am shy around anyone i don't know real well... i am really fun to be around when you get to know me though. i really like hello kitty. i normally wear converse but, i do wear flats at times. i color my hair alot and i enjoy doing makeup and hair. i am really into animal print, especially zebra and leopard. i wear skinny jeans most of the time but i do occasionally wear skirts and tutus. i love tights/leggings with tutus and skirts. i am also a fan of band tees. i do have a facebook but no myspace. i straighten my hair and i do tease it and wear colorful bows. i own a iphone. i really like music, it a huge part of me and my inspiration for makeup. i one day dream to be a photographer, i love taking pictures. i tend to be random and very outgoing if i want to. i am annoyed easily and i can be very judgmental.

Hello Everyone, My name is Emilie, and I have a serious addiction. Im addicted to Oreos...
It all started freshman year of highschool. I was at a friend's house, and she had a full pack of those sexy doubble stuffed babies. There, I tried my first oreo. It was like a fucking orgasm in my mouth.... and I ended up hogging the whole pack. My addiction advanced as I started reconizing oreos on the shelves at meijers. I made my mom buy a some every week. It got so bad that I kept oreos in my locker at school, and stopped there during study hall for a daily "oreo feast break" ... you're probably sitting there thinking "omg, this chick is such a fatass" ... and yes, I reluctantly started realizing this; as stuffing oreos in my mouth started making me gain weight. It was either give up oreos for a while, or become obese... I didn't want to stop eating my delicious snacks, so I went to find help. I googled "Oreo Addictions" and found a girl named Ashley. We started talking and we shared a lot of the same problems. Talking with Ashley helped me get over my addiction, And im pleased to say, now I only eat oreos as a reward. My mom only buys a back once or twice a month, and I've started running to burn off all my oreo fat :) Dear Oreos, you don't control me anymore. From, Emilie

**Scene Hairstyle**
Hair! The part of the scene fashion that receives the most attention, scene hair / emo hair is an essential part of the scene kid look and should definitely be paid attention to.
If you have brightly dyed scene hair you will notice how well it will contrast with some of your clothes. The hairstyles most likely need lots of products, for me its mostly tresemme hairspray and a teasing comb.
Spiked Look--cutting the back of the hair quite a bit shorter than the front, and layering the sides a bit so that you are able to put some of the hair up while still giving a longish appearance. To stick the back of the hair up you can use hair wax or hair spray. When applying hairspray its important to remember that its most effective to use while blow drying the hair as the hair spray hardens quicker and allows you to get your wanted shape easier.
Short Fringe/Bangs Longer sides--Cut your hair so that the fringe(bangs) is fairly short while leaving both the sides and the back of the hair long, the back may need a bit of layering if you want
--Backcomb areas of the back and the area between the sides and the back, depending where you want the 'poofyness' to appear.
--After backcombing use hair spray on the area you back combed
Step 4 : Just style the bangs with your hands, or straighten it with a hair straightener if

Hello =P
Im amy and yaww idk im super outgoing and im not afraid to make a scene if you were to hang out with me its guaranteed that you will have fun hehe i love shopping especially at hottopic!!!!! i love the "scene" style cuz i love bright colors and we usually if not always stand out of the crowed its funny to see people just stare at you. but i really dont think there's a protocol on how to be scene. scene is made by the individual you make your own rendition of scene. if every scene kid was to dress the same way it really would be like every other style out there basically wat im saying is just be yourself wear the things you like not wat the scene queen pic you look at everyday wears =p yaa i really didnt know wat to write in this lol

Okkkay, so lets do this. I have no idea what is meant to go in an article so Ima do it my way. Animals are the bomb, I don't consider myself scene/emo but alot of people do..'specially the ghetto girls at my school. Anywho! I am different and I like it, its how i've always rolled. I'm always the awkward gal who can make anything sexual. Animals? Yes, they are 1000000% apart of me, gotta problemo with aminals, you gotta problem with me.

You can be anything you want to.
I'm big, some even call me fat, but i'm who i am and im PROUD to be me :)
You can be skinny with blonde hair and big boobs... i don't care. As long as you are happy with who you are; that's all that matters. I'm not even "scene". I'm me. Nothing more and nothing less. Just... Me. :)

HOW TO BE SCENE (MY WAY)
An order to be scene is you need to have the appearance, that including the makeup, septum rings, scene hair, and the outfit. For the makeup you want to have either dark dark colors like black eyeshadow. Or choose to have a more brighter look fr your eyeshadow including (Yellow,Pink,Purple etc.) think of a rainbow. Lipstick you should use lip gloss, concealer , or foundation on your lips that blends in with your skin tone. However don't get the wrong idea, don't put too much makeup on or you will look like a cake face :P. The hairstyle includes A LOT of teasing and hairspray and TLC. for extensions which look a lot more cuter and stylish would include coontails, cheetah print, etc. and very bright choppy layers. Which is all optional... For the clothes... you can use VERY bright belts, acid washed skinny jeans, tight band t-shirts and converse. A very good place to look for these items would be in Hot Topic, Kandi etc. Scenes are very bold and tend to exaggerate a lot! don't say your scene right away because it will make you look like a poser, it takes time to be a scene. The items you must have are: Straightener, Blow dryer, Hair serum, Hair protection spray, silky shine straightener spray, hairspray, perfume, big sunglasses that are stylish, bright nail polish or else black, Hair clips (Bows, Headbands, Head wraps, Bobby pins, etc.)

*****How to Deep Condition Hair*******
Things you'll need:
A shower , duh!
Aussie's 3 minute miracle
About 3 hours of your time XD
Shampoo -_-
A TOWEL!!!
First thing you need to do is get your HOLE head wet. Use your regular shampoo and lather! :D Next, rise it out. Then, towel dry your hair! ( Don't blow dry or strait iron, this is going to keep your hair healthy ) I use Aussie's 3 minute miracle, this is recommended and works best. Condition all of your hair. Wait 2 hours. ( During this time, go to Sq.com XD ) Now, wash it out and towel dry again. YOUR HAIR IS NOW ALL HEALTHY! :D If you want EXTREMLY healthy hair, use it every time you take a shower.

You don't have to LOOK scene to BE scene, but it does help on the long run. But when it comes to hair, anything and everything is welcome. You don't have to tease your hair or have a million and one colors in it for it to be scene! If you want to tease your hair, it's simple: Just get a teasing comb, a brush & paddle brush, and if you really want to/need to use it, hairspray. Then you take a section of your hair, and use the comb to brush it back towards the roots, but not all the way. You just do that for the rest, but just don't over do it or make it seem like you're the relative of a dog. That is never a good look. The reason you will need a brush is because sometimes your hair may get mixed up with other parts while teasing. A brush is a good way to keep the flying strands in their correct place. If you are using hairspray, don't use too much, or too little. Just use enough so that it will stay. When using hairspray, first, you spray the roots of the section you are doing, then spray your hair lightly after you have teased it. Then you keep doing that until the end! If you want to add spikes to you hair, take a group of your hair strands, hold it upwards towards the sky, and spray with your hair spray. Do this however many times you would like so that you can have your pretty awesome spikes! Also, if you need a quick fix and would like to get rid of the teased hair in a fast manner, use a paddle brush and brush through the sections of your hair lightly! It should get all of the knots out and your hair won't be teased anymore! It also helps to carry a small or regular sized one around to add a little more volume to your hair.
Now, if you don't want to ruin your hair by adding in a bunch of different colors at once or over a period of time, then just buy some really cool extensions. But if you really want your hair to reflect your own style and originality, then buy the things you need to make your own extensions! All you will need to buy are some weft hair clips, weft hair in blonde (it works best and you don't need to bleach it), a sewing needle and thread, and hair dye and/or colored markers. There are tutorials all over the internet that show you how to make the extensions and how you should put them in.
All in all, no matter how you choose to look or dress, you can always make your hair reflect you and your personal style & originality. Have fun with what you decide to do!
