Scene Is NOT Emo
There are many similarities between scene and "emo". But they are very different. Scene is about color and beauty, and standing out in the crowd in a GOOD way. Emo is about death, destruction, depression and dark colors. Which sounds better and more inviting to you? Scene Queens are here to set a GOOD example and leave their mark on the world. Being scene, you have a right to be random, bright, different, unique, and of course beautiful. In my opinion, "emos" are all posers. Emo should only be a genre of music. Wearing all black and acting depressed all the time, when most of the time you're really not, is stupid. If you're not an unhappy person, don’t act unhappy. Just be yourself or you are FAKE. Don't have a fake personality. To be scene there is no certain personality or lingo you need have. Every scene girl is different and amazing in their own way, whether they use the words "rad" "rawr" or "stellar" or not. I personally use none of them. They don't define who you are. They don't make you SCENE.
Also, calling yourself scene does not make you a poser. There is nothing wrong with labels; they are way to describe who someone is. The thing that is a problem is the stereotypes that come along with a label. Some of the stereotypes that some along with the label "scene" are: that we all use slang from the 1980's, that we abbreviate everything, that we ALL have a MySpace, that we all go to raves, and that we are just emos. These stereotypes are not true. I use no slang; I use only the same abbreviations that most people use like lol, brb, k, and nm. I have never been to a rave. And I know that we are ALL definitely not emo. But the same thing goes for emos, a lot of the stereotypes that go along with them aren't true, for example, most emos DO NOT cut themselves, a lot of them are the happiest people ever. I hate how people get scene and emo mixed up. We need to stand up for ourselves and show people who we really are and show them that we are NOT emo.

Being a Scene Queen isn't about who pulls it off better, who has the better hair, who does their makeup better, or who is prettier. Being scene is about expressing YOURSELF, not trying to be a reflection of someone else. Your own unique style is what makes you scene, its all you. Sure, people will criticize you, people will bash and call you names and point out every little flaw, but that is pure jealousy. YOu have something they don't. A feeling of self worth, confidence, power.

Being scene where i live isnt a walk in the park. we get made fun of, teased and even threatened here and there. But that dosent bother me, i learened to zone things out. I am who i am, and noone is gonna change that. Afew thingslike; my hair, makeup, and pierrcings that i recently got shouldnt affect [eoples judgements of me and my [personaliuty.What im saying may be a little cliche but i personally dont care, be who you wanna be and aim high kids because you never know whats gonna happen. with that i hope the scene king allows me to be on this because i really have my hopes high asnd to my fellow scene kids thank you, thank you for DAREING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND EXPRESSING YOURSELVES. Im glad theres people like me that wear their hearts and souls on their sleeves, that they dare to add color to this black and white canvas that people dare to call a world. with that i end this letter with a thank you and see you soon :)

First you need to straighten your hair, once its straight IF you have extensions, part your hair and clip them in, after thatcomb part of your hair then begin teasing the side of your hair, your fringe/bangs the other side of your hair and then hair spray it, lightly brush it down but make sure its still puffy, then add a cute hair peice or bow and then you have a cute scene-hairstyle :D
